Matthew Dickinson presented an interesting talk on nanoengineering of piston rings for race engines using novel coating systems and their impact on engine performance. This research is part of his PhD studies and should make an important contribution to development of future race engines. Matthew is a member of the Institute of Nanotechnology and Bioengineering and is based in the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences at UClan.
